Health Promotion

Health promotion is a process enabling people to increase control over, and to improve, their health. It moves beyond a focus on individual behaviour towards a wide range of social and environmental interventions. As a core function of public and global health, health promotion supports governments, communities, and individuals to cope with and address different health challenges. Health promotion can include wide range of activities, such as building healthy public policies, creating supportive environments, strengthening community actions, and improving personal skills.
